Okay, so I need to vent a little and thought that this would be a good forum to do so. Back in Aug '07 Joe and I had a salesman come to the door to give us this great deal on a home security system, let us advertise in your yard get some free stuff. The company is called Firstline Home Security. We had three days to cancle the service if we didn't like it. We decided that we didn't like it, so we faxed our cancelation in before our three days were up and even called to verify that they had recieved all the necessary stuff. They had. Well, 6 months later I find out that they "neglected" to turn off our account and had been debiting our bank account for the monthly fee of $44.99 a month for the past 6 months. Needless to say I am furious. I have now been trying to collect my money back from them and am just getting the run around. It has been almost 4 months now and I still haven't seen a penny. Does anyone have any ideas about what I can do to speed up this process?
If you're thinking about getting a security system I do NOT recommend going with this company. They are completly unprofessional in the way that they handle there costomers.

I'll have Tyson email you. This company tried really hard to recruit him two years ago, but they were a little fishy. In fact, they recently declared bankruptcy. Ty can probably help you get it figured out.

Thanks Tecia that would be great. I'd love some help from anyone who is willing to give it.

If you've tried to work things through with the company to no avail, it may be time to take it to the bank and dispute the charges.
Here's a page that may help.

This same thing happened to my mom by Cricket (cell phones). She cancelled the phone/contract, but didn't realize that they were still taking money out, which went on for almost a year. She jumped through various hoops, but never got any help or money. She gave up, but I think she should have gotten a lawyer. Good luck with the battle. I think a lot of companies purposely do it because people don't check to make sure the debit has stopped. It's sad how dishonest people can be?
