Fast food has got to go!

I just got done watching a documentary called Super Size Me. WOW! It was crazy. For those of you that haven't heard about it, it's about this man named Morgan who only ate McDonald's for 30 days. He was trying to prove that eating fast food isn't healthy. He did just that. He went from 185 to 210 pounds in 30 days. His cholesterol jumped severely and his kidney function was in danger. It was an eye opener.

I will never look at fast food the same again. It is something that I have decided needs to be cut down in our diets if not cut out. I can't believe how much our society relies on the fast food industry. We as a country have become the most obese in the world. It is so sad!

I have to decided that I will not be one of those statistics. I am going to reach my goal of becoming healthy and strong. I will teach my kids proper eating and exercising habits and I will help them to make good food choices. I am rededicating myself to loosing the weight and keeping it off!

Anyway, there's my soap box rant for the month. Wouldn't it be cool if we could send some sort of message to the fast food world. I was thinking of starting something...maybe picking a day that everyone bans fast food. I don't know. Just a thought...

We saw that movie awhile ago, it's quite an eye opener. We rarely go out to Fast food places partly cause it costs more $$ but its just not good for you so We try to stay away from fast food as much as we can.
I think my only vice is Wendy's cause I love their frosty's :)

Hey Brenda! I am trying to loose weight right now too. One thing that has helped me alot right now is green smoothies. If your kids like smoothies this will be a good way to get some veggies in there bodies. I am doing it right now for me. I get a whole days worth of fruit and 2-3 servings of veggies in one drink. It tastes good too. I use the big mix of fruit from wal-mart and I put 2 bananas and a huge handful of spinach start with a small handful and work your way up. E-mail me if you have any questions. chillililly18@gmail.com

I remember that show. Did you know he got a TV series called 30 days? I have the first season, we'll have to watch it together sometime. But it's not just about fast food. I should watch it again, I could probably use the anti fast food motivation right now.
